The vineyards of Thaya are cultivated in one of the most esteemed wine regions of the Czech Republic, the Znojmo region—an area renowned for its fresh and aromatic white wines and blessed with a unique position that offers an exceptionally favourable microclimate. The region benefits from cool nights and warm days that refine grape ripening; from constant air currents flowing over the vineyards from the Podyjí National Park, preserving natural freshness; from rich soils composed of granite loess and calcareous clay that lend the wines their characteristic minerality; and from the influence of the Dyje River, which cools the landscape and brings stability to the growing cycle.
