History and Background
The origins of Kakhuri Gvinis Marani go back to a family tradition of winemaking that spans generations. After the Soviet era, the founder, Giorgi Kevkhishvili, reclaimed the vineyards in the 1990s that had been taken from his ancestors in the 1920s. In 2005, the company built a modern winery in Gurjaani, in the heart of Kakheti. Today, Giorgi and his son Nugzar Kevkhishvili manage approximately 500 hectares of family-owned vineyards, spread across various microzones in Kakheti.

The vineyards of Kakhuri Gvinis Marani are located in some of the most suitable terroirs of Kakheti, including microzones such as Tsinandali, Teliani, Akhasheni, Mukuzani, Manavi, and Gurjaani. This diversity provides ideal conditions for both classic Georgian grape varieties such as Saperavi for red and Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane for white, as well as for modern winemaking techniques.
Production and Style
