History and Family Heritage

Founded in 1990 by Vencel Garamvári, the winery began its journey driven by a passion for quality and innovation. In 1993, the first vineyards around Balatonlelle were acquired, and in 1996, the historic Palugyai cellar in Budafok was purchased, where the production of sparkling wines using the traditional méthode traditionnelle began. Today, the winery is managed by three generations of the Garamvári family, with family tradition and personal involvement at the heart of its operations.

Vineyards and Terroir

Garamvári’s vineyards cover approximately 86 hectares in the Balatonlelle and Balatonboglár regions. The unique terroir on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, with its rich, limestone soils and favorable microclimate, produces grapes of exceptional quality.
