Bosio Winery

The Italian winery Bosio is synonymous with authenticity, tradition and quality. Located in the heart of the Langhe in Piedmont—a region renowned for its exceptional vineyards and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site—Bosio combines a rich family tradition with modern winemaking techniques. Since its founding in 1967 by Egidio Bosio and his wife, the winery has grown into a leading producer of red and white wines, sparkling wines and exclusive DOCG classifications.

History and Philosophy of Bosio

Bosio is a family-owned winery that is now run by the third generation: Valter, Rosella and Luca Bosio. Deeply rooted in the Piedmont region, the winery places great importance on close collaboration with local winegrowers. By combining traditional viticulture with modern technologies, Bosio ensures quality from grape to bottle.

The philosophy of Bosio revolves around a strong connection to the terroir, sustainability and respect for nature. This results in wines that are both authentic and refined, with a character that reflects the rich traditions of Piedmont.

Vineyards and Grape Varieties

Bosio manages both its own vineyards and a network of local winegrowers, accounting for a total of around 700 hectares of vineyards spread across the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato regions. The vineyards are located in picturesque villages such as Santo Stefano Belbo, Castiglione Tinella, Mango and Costigliole d’Asti.

Bosio’s wines are produced from classic Piedmont grape varieties such as:

  • Nebbiolo – used for Barolo and Barbaresco, offering elegance and structure
  • Barbera – for fresh, fruity red wines
  • Moscato – for aromatic, sparkling wines such as Moscato d’Asti
  • Dolcetto – for soft, fruity red wines

Each grape is harvested and processed with the utmost care, combining traditional manual techniques with modern winemaking technology.

The Bosio Wine Range

Bosio offers a versatile range of wines that beautifully reflects the rich diversity and character of Piedmont. The selection includes the world-renowned Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG—prestigious red wines with deep aromas, complex flavours and exceptional ageing potential, crafted from the finest Nebbiolo grapes and carefully refined both in the vineyard and the cellar.

In addition, the winery produces Barbera d’Asti DOCG, a red wine with vibrant fruit notes and elegant structure, as well as Moscato d’Asti DOCG, a fresh, lightly sparkling wine with floral aromas and subtle sweetness, ideal for desserts or as an aperitif.

The assortment is complemented by white and sparkling wines distinguished by refinement, harmony and versatility, perfect for dinners or special occasions.

Every bottle from Bosio tells a story of generations of tradition, passion for viticulture and a deep connection with Piedmont. Each glass reflects the family’s craftsmanship and dedication, offering an authentic wine experience for both enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
