We call wine that is made in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way Bio and Natural wine. Not only is Organic and Natural Wine relatively new, the wines are also getting better every year. What started as a movement to make wine in a traditional and environmentally friendly way has grown into a turning point among wine producers. Nowadays you will increasingly find wineries that make and / or sell Organic and Natural wine. You can see whether a type of wine is a Organic or Natural wine from the green EU Certified organic logo on the bottle. You will find this on our website.

Buy organic and natural wine
Of course, with the popularity of brioproducts, the choice is also increasing. Organic and Natural Wine is in an ever-growing market. All types of wine, from white to red and from dry to sweet, are now available in a Bio or Natural wine variant. Organic and Natural wine from our range focuses mainly on wines from Armenia or Georgia. Two relatively unknown wine countries that are on the rise in global wine culture. The same applies to wines: you only know what you like when you have tasted a wine.
Organic and Natural wines: a unique production process
The most important factor that plays a role in the production of Organic and Natural wines is the entire, environmentally friendly production process of the grapes. And that already starts when the vines are planted until the moment the cork goes down on the bottle. An introduction to Organic and Natural Wine:

Wine growing: natural wine may only be called natural wine if it is made in an organic or biodynamic way. This means that the vines have been sprayed without chemical or environmentally unfriendly pesticides and that no fertilizers have been used, but also that the grapes are picked old-fashioned by hand without machines.

• Yeast: Wine is made from yeast. Organic or natural wines are made with only natural yeasts from the grape itself and therefore no yeast grown on a wine farm or laboratory.

• Original acidity: often (artificial) aromas or flavors are added to a wine for better acidity. These substances are missing from organic wine. So what you taste is the original acidity of the wine.
Do I taste a difference?
Tastes differ, of course, yet there is a clear difference between organic or non-organic wines. Because certain substances, such as sulphite, often return to a lesser extent in organic wine, you can taste that immediately. Also important to know: the quality between organic wines differs considerably. For example, the taste of some organic wines can change even when the wine is bottled. At Drinkrituals we know this, so we do not just choose the organic wines from our collection and always try, taste and test them in a professional way.
