Karas Wine
Karas Wines is a winery founded by the Eurnekian family. The family fled Armenia and settled in Argentina, where they founded a winery a few years later. After the success in South America, the family decided to return Karas Wines to their Armenian roots: the winery established a second vineyard in Armenia. The name for the winery is not entirely accidentally chosen: the karas (a kind of jug) has been used for thousands of years in Armenia to store wine. The family embraced the wine history of their country of origin and brought the jug back in the logo of Karas Wines.

Karas Wine: renowned winery in Armenia
As a winery, Karas Wines has managed to put itself on the map with their wines. Karas wines makes modern, pleasant wines that go well with a dinner and drink nice during an evening with friends and family.
The wines of Karas Wines
The wines of Karas Wines from the selection of Drinkrituals are carefully selected on taste, color and background. The winery works with both blue and white grapes, resulting in a range of red and white wines. Karas Wines uses different grape varieties grown on Armenian soil for their wines. Including the well-known Syrah (blue), Cabernet (blue), but also the unique Armenian Tannat (blue). These grape varieties, in the case of their red wines, are combined in a unique blend, with Western grape varieties meeting their Eastern counterparts.
About the base
As for the basics of Karas Wines’ Armenian wines, you can’t do better. For several years, the winery has thus partly returned to Aramvir, a city and region of the same name in the shadow of the Ararat Mountains. The volcanic underground of this mountain also influences grape cultivation on the flanks and in the mountain valley. Thanks to the fertile volcanic soil in combination with a mild, one-sided climate and pleasant temperature, beautiful, full bunches of grapes grow on the vines. This terroir (origin) creates wines that we do not yet know well in the West. Drinking rituals would like to introduce you to these special wines!
