Description
Producer
The history of Vaziani begins in 1982. The factory was founded as the successor to Telavi Winery No.1 and continues the age-old traditions of Georgian wine production. In the period following the Soviet Union, problems arose in the wine industry, leading to the establishment of a new company known as a souvenir production company. The goal of this company was to offer the best Georgian wine brands of the highest quality in gift packaging, in contrast to the low-quality wines produced since the 1970s, preserving the reputation of renowned wine brands. The experiment proved to be a great success, and today, Vaziani takes pride in this story.
Georgia is at the forefront of the world of natural wines, orange wines, amphora wines, terroir-driven wines, and wines made from indigenous grapes. Yet, these are not modern trends for Georgians but age-old wine traditions cherished for millennia. The country is home to a treasure trove of more than 8,000 different wine varieties. Despite their long history, Georgian wines have only recently come into the international spotlight, making them all the more intriguing to discover and savor.
