Thaya Veltlínské Zelené 2020 Premium

Thaya Veltlínské Zelené 2020 Premium is a delicious Czech white wine made from the Grüner Veltliner grape. The grüner veltliner grows in a compact, elongated raceme and has leaves with deep notches. ‘De Groene uit Veltlin’ is strong and naturally produces many grapes. Too high yields give characterless, cowardly wines, but those who restrict growth harvest grapes with special qualities. One of the characteristics of the grüner is that it ripens late. Late-ripening grapes typically require a warm autumn to fully develop. The 2020 Thaya Veltlínské zelené comes from the beautiful Morava wine region, subregion Znojemská and has an alcohol content of 12%.

Description

Vineyard of Thaya

The vineyards are located in the wine sub-region of Znojmo, South Moravia, Czech Republic, typical for its full-bodied and fresh wines. The ideal natural and climatic conditions are due to many factors, including the Thaya River, whose thermoregulatory influence together with the cold wind from the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands gives the local wines an unmistakable spicy flavor and fullness. Sunny days alternate with cold nights in the vineyards. As a result, the grapes ripen more slowly, but retain their aromas and achieve high quality. Thanks to the granite subsoil and loess with a mixture of calcareous clay, almost all varieties come.
