Description
Winery
In 1915, Telavi Marani came into existence, but the young winery soon faced turbulent times. Just two years after its founding, the Russian Revolution brought about a dramatic turn of events: the company was nationalized. It wasn’t until the end of the twentieth century that it returned to private ownership, marking the beginning of a new era in the history of this Georgian wine producer.
Today, Telavi Marani works closely with French experts in viticulture and oenology. They play a key role in every aspect of the production process — from the selection of grape varieties and vine grafting to the aging and bottling of the wine. Every detail is handled with the utmost care. While modern techniques are applied, the core philosophy remains rooted in centuries-old Georgian traditions. Indigenous grape varieties and a deep respect for the local terroir are central to their approach.
Telavi Marani wines enjoy international recognition and can be found in Russia, Europe, New Zealand, and the United States, among other places. They have been awarded numerous gold and silver medals at prestigious wine competitions around the world — a clear testament to their quality and craftsmanship. With their contemporary appearance and refined character, the wines appeal to both the local market and international audiences.
