Koncho Aleksandrouli 2019

Winemaker Koncho from Georgia puts a quirky wine on the table with this red wine, made from the blue Aleksandrouli grape. The Aleksandrouli is known as a grape variety that is mainly used for sweet wines. Wijnhuis Koncho chose the other route and this resulted in the dry, red Koncho Aleksandrouli from 2016.

Taste Character Koncho Aleksandrouli 2016

Because the Aleksandrouli is generally used for sweet wines, this character cannot be completely concealed with a dry wine. This provides a unique, drop-like taste through which fruity flavors shine through. A mild tannin is present.
