Taste character Château des Anglades L’Empreinte Rouge 2014

You can clearly smell and taste the quality of the wine. This elegant wine has a deep purple color and develops beautiful aromas of black fruit: blackberries, black currants. In terms of taste, the wine is round and balanced with hints of wood, vanilla and coconut. In the refined long finish you can taste notes of red fruit. The Château des Anglades L’Empreinte works well with stewed meat dishes, but is also not bad as an Aperitif or with a cheese platter. This wine appreciates being moved in a carafe 1 hour before tasting.

Description

About the winery

The winery Château des Anglades benefits from a unique terroir thanks to a defining maritime influence and a very interesting soil structure. Shale and clay form the soil of the wine region, which makes it possible to obtain high-quality wines.

The Château des Anglades was founded in 1852 by the Marquis de Gairoird, who was the largest landowner and creator of the region’s first wine estate.

The abandoned Château de Gairoird and the estate were discovered by the GAUTIER family, who started a major project to rebuild the estate. In 2018, the Château des Anglades decided to convert the entire vineyard to organic farming.
