Description
Winery
Telavi Marani was founded in 1915 and soon experienced a significant turning point; just two years later, the Russian Revolution broke out, leading to the nationalization of the company. It wasn’t until the end of the twentieth century that it returned to private ownership, marking a new chapter in the rich history of the winery. Today, wine production heavily relies on the expertise of French wine consultants and oenologists, who are actively involved in the process. Every step, from grafting the vines to the careful bottling of the wines, is meticulously controlled. The philosophy of Telavi is rooted in local tradition, with an emphasis on using indigenous grape varieties that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
The wines of Telavi Marani have now found their way into markets in Russia, Europe, New Zealand, and the United States. They have collected over a hundred gold and silver medals in international competitions, demonstrating their quality and craftsmanship. With a surprisingly modern appearance, the wines perfectly align with the refined tastes of Western Europe, making them appreciated not only locally but also internationally.
