This wine is made from the rare Mukhamtsvane grape, known for its complex flavors and versatility. The production process follows the traditional Qvevri method, an ancient technique where the grapes, without added yeast, are fermented in large, handmade clay vessels. These vessels, called Qvevri, are partially buried in the ground, allowing fermentation to proceed slowly and naturally, which gives the wine extra depth and character. The grapes remain in the Qvevri for six months, resulting in an amber-colored wine with a taste that is more reminiscent of a red wine than a classic white. The alcohol content of 13% contributes to a harmonious and refreshing experience, where the unique complexity of the Mukhamtsvane grape comes fully into its own.
