Description
Winery
Voskevaz Winery is located in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia, in the village named “Voskevaz,” which can be translated as “golden bunch” in Armenian. The hilly terrain surrounding the majestic Aragats, the highest mountain in Armenia, offers a breathtakingly diverse landscape steeped in the rich cultural heritage of the ancient Armenian civilization. Just a few kilometers away from the vineyard, along the picturesque gorge of the Kasakh River, lie the ruins of the church “Badali Jam,” dating back to the 5th to 7th centuries. Nearby, archaeological findings of karases, traditional Armenian clay amphorae that were buried in the ground for wine aging, have also been discovered. Since its establishment in 1932, Voskevaz Winery has retained its authentic charm, despite modern innovations, including the unique architectural features of its buildings.
