Voskevaz, a renowned winery located in the enchanting Aragotsotn region at the foot of the majestic Mount Aragats in Armenia, is celebrated for its commitment to producing extraordinary wines that embody the deep history and unique terroir of the area. The vineyards are situated in a magical place called “Golden Forest,” which is the translation of Voskevaz, where grapes have been cultivated for centuries. During explorations in this region, fragments of ancient clay amphorae, known as karases, were discovered near the ruins of a 7th-century church that happens to stand next to the winery. In 2004, a new chapter began for Voskevaz when David Hovhannisyan, a passionate Armenian entrepreneur, decided to rejuvenate his native village after years of living abroad. Along with his brothers Gago and Armen, he returned to Armenia and made significant investments in Voskevaz, aiming to restore the winery’s former glory. At Voskevaz, they combine traditional winemaking methods with modern techniques to produce wines of exceptional quality. Dedicated winemakers meticulously select the best grapes from the surrounding vineyards and bring them to life in our state-of-the-art facilities.
