In the heart of the Armenian region of Aragatsotn lies the picturesque village of “Voskevaz,” which translates to “golden cluster” in Armenian. Here, amidst the breathtaking hilly landscape surrounding the majestic Mount Aragats, you’ll find the Voskevaz Winery. This area bears the rich traces of ancient Armenian civilization and offers a diversity of cultural treasures. Just a stone’s throw away from the vineyards, on the edge of the scenic gorge of the Kasakh River, lie the historic remains of the church “Badali Jam,” dating back to the 5th to 7th centuries. Here, in the nearby vicinity, pieces of karases (Armenian clay amphorae) have also been discovered, buried in the ground to mature wine. Voskevaz Winery came into being in 1932 and has since preserved its authentic character, despite modern innovations. The winery carefully nurtures its historical elements, including the distinctive buildings that exude an atmosphere of tradition and craftsmanship.
