The Carić winery

Vina Carić (Tsaritsj) is a very small-scale winery on the island of Hvar, in the Adriatic Sea and has only 5 hectares of its own vineyards. They also buy the grapes from other winegrowers. The winery’s focus is mainly on Bogdanuša and Plavac Mali grape varieties.

The owner, Ivo Carić, is a resourceful winemaker who creates exciting blends and blends these beautiful grapes for remarkable creations of unprecedented quality. The Vina Carić Cesarica 2020 is an example of this. The Cesarica (Tsésárietsá- translated Queen or Empress) is a unique Dalmatian Cuvée and is recognized as the Empress among the white wines of the island of Hvar. Not surprising, because the 2020 vintage won the gold medal at the Balkans International Wine Competition.
