In 1997, Teliani Valley was founded by two young winemakers who aimed for complete freedom in creating authentic Georgian wines. The goal was clear: to produce wines with character that reflect Georgia’s rich tradition and soul. Teliani Valley combines centuries-old winemaking knowledge with modern wine technology. Ancient indigenous grape varieties, which were on the verge of disappearing, are being restored and brought back to life. Through this combination of craftsmanship and heritage, wines are created that are both refined and unique. The Teliani Valley winery is located in Telavi, in the renowned Kakheti wine region, the heart of Georgian wine production. The vineyards cover an area of 700 hectares. The unique location, soil, and climate contribute to a wide range of wines with fresh, lively flavors and distinctive character. The range includes powerful red wines, delicate white wines, and characterful amber wines. A particularly special feature is the Qvevri wines: traditional Georgian wines made in earthenware amphorae, using a method that has been practiced since the time of Noah. This unique production method gives the wines depth, complexity, and an authentic identity.
In addition to wines, Teliani Valley also produces chacha, the traditional Georgian grape spirit, making full use of the country’s rich viticulture in an authentic way. Teliani Valley is known for preserving the Georgian winemaking tradition and protecting ancient grape varieties. Sustainability, respect for nature, and attention to quality contribute to products that reflect Georgia’s rich heritage.
