Description
Winery
In 1915, Telavi Marani was founded, but the young winery quickly faced turbulent times. Just two years after its establishment, the Russian Revolution led to a significant turning point: the company was nationalized. It wasn’t until the end of the twentieth century that it was returned to private ownership, marking the beginning of a new era in the history of this Georgian wine producer.
Today, Telavi Marani works closely with French experts in viticulture and oenology. They play a key role in every part of the production process—from the selection of grape varieties and grafting the vines to the aging and bottling of the wine. Every detail is executed with the utmost care. While modern techniques are employed, the core of their philosophy remains rooted in centuries-old Georgian traditions. Indigenous grape varieties and respect for the local terroir are central to their approach.
The wines of Telavi Marani enjoy international recognition and can be found in markets such as Russia, Europe, New Zealand, and the United States. They have been awarded numerous gold and silver medals at prestigious wine competitions around the world—clear evidence of their quality and craftsmanship. With their contemporary appearance and refined character, the wines appeal to both the local market and international audiences.
