Description

Winery

The Skaramuča winery was the first in the Croatian wine region of Dalmatia to independently produce wine since the country’s independence. The vineyards are located on the steep southern slopes of the Pelješac peninsula, in the continental part. These slopes have a gradient of 25 to 30 percent, causing the vines to grow wild over the rocky soil rather than being trained. The yield per hectare is only three tons, and the harvest is done manually because mechanization is impossible in this terrain.
