Taste character Quinta Do Piloto Reserva Palmela D.O.C. 2018
Quinta do Piloto Reserva Red is a red wine with a bright and intense garnet colour. Tremendous complexity and depth, it presents notes of black plums and forest fruits, combined with spices, such as black and green pepper and some subtle notes of lavender. In addition to the fruit, a character from the Mediterranean vegetation is also present, perfectly integrated in a fresh and elegant profile. Very elegant on the palate, fresh, with a firm structure but with very polished and luxurious tannins. Despite being young, it already shows great balance, thanks to good volume in the mouth combined with excellent natural acidity. Very fine, long and seductive aftertaste. It will age with great class.

Description
The Wine House
The Quinto do Piloto winery uses natural light and thick walls to ensure a constant temperature and the whole winemaking process is done with gravity. This is one of the few wineries that still uses the traditional “auto-winemaking” method with Algerian amphoras from Palmela. This system works 100% ecologically without the use of electricity, because it uses the natural energy of the fermentation to do the assembly and pumping. this old method is nowadays supplemented with modern temperature control.
