Description

About the maker

This small-scale wine label is firmly rooted in the history and culture of Armenia. Oshin sources indigenous Armenian grape varieties, Areni and Voskehat, from selected growers in Vayots Dzor to produce 700 cases of wine annually. The fruit thrives in volcanic soil on 40-60-year-old vines and holds special significance for the Oshin team. Vahe Keushguerian, Vahe Gabrache, and Arman Manoukian, who founded Oshin in 2017, liken the resilience of these grapes to the heart and soul of the Armenian people. The winery’s name pays homage to a medieval monarch, King Oshin of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, who ruled the region in the 14th century.
