About the producer
Winery Medea is established by the Floricić family and is located in the village of Vodnjan in the Croatian wine region of Istria. The company was privatized in the 1990s. Since 2005 the winery has been called Medea, named after the god daughter Medea from Greek mythology.
With 60 hectares of vineyards and 40 hectares of olive groves, the winery is the second largest winery in Istria. The vines are on rich red soil. The Istarska Malvazija is the main grape grown here. The Merlot is the most important grape variety for red wines. The winery grows among others Cabernet Sauvignon and Teran.
