On the palate, rich sherry notes merge with full molasses and a touch of glucose syrup, complemented by fruity accents, a subtle hint of balsamic vinegar, and delicate spices, resulting in a long, silky-smooth finish. Served at 18–22°C, the complex flavors are revealed to their fullest. Producer
The Masahiro Distillery was founded in 1883 by Shobun Higa, the son of Shozoku Higa, who served as the royal chef at the court of the Ryukyu Kingdom. It went on to become one of Okinawa’s oldest and most renowned producers. Thanks to the connections and influence of the Higa family, Masahiro was granted an official license early on to produce Awamori, Okinawa’s traditional rice spirit. Since then, the distillery has stood as a symbol of authentic craftsmanship, with a deep-rooted passion for quality and flavor. Today, Masahiro Distillery combines this rich heritage with innovation, creating premium spirits—including refined Japanese whiskies—that are appreciated worldwide and reflect the unique culture and flavors of Okinawa.
