About the winery
The winegrowing and wine production at Kevkhishvili Family have a tradition spanning generations. Annually, they produce between 3000 and up to 5000 bottles. After 1991, the founder of Kakhuri Gvinis Marani, Mr. Giorgi Kevkhishvili, began reclaiming vineyards confiscated by Soviet authorities from his ancestors in the 1920s. In 2005, the company built a new winery in Gurjaani, in the heart of Kakheti. Today, Giorgi Kevkhishvili and his son Nugzar Kevkhishvili cultivate 500 hectares of their own vineyards in the beautiful Kakheti region. Kakhuri Gvinis Marani blends modern, advanced technologies with an 8000-year-old wine tradition, embodying love and passion passed down through generations. They produce wines of character and quality, evidenced by the hundreds of medals they have won in competitions worldwide.
