Gevorkian Granaatappelwijn Reserve

Gevorkian Pomegranate Wine Reserve is a remarkable creation that embodies the very essence of Armenian fruit wine. Originating from the fertile Meghri Valley in the Syunik province, at the southernmost tip of Armenia, this wine is crafted from carefully selected pomegranates that ripen under the blazing sun in a warm Mediterranean microclimate. This unique terroir lends the fruit its powerful and distinctive character. After harvest, the wine undergoes fermentation at controlled temperatures of 15–16°C, preserving its fresh aromas and deep fruit flavors. It is then aged for six months in Karabagh oak barrels, a process that enhances depth, refines the structure, and creates a harmonious balance. The result is a wine with an alcohol content of 13.5%, where elegance and intensity go hand in hand.

Gevorkian Pomegranate Wine Reserve is more than just a drink: it is a reflection of Armenian tradition and craftsmanship. With its vibrant color, distinctive taste, and versatility at the table, it stands out as an excellent choice for connoisseurs seeking something truly special.

Flavor character Gevorkian Pomegranate Wine Reserve

This exceptional wine presents itself in a deep cinnabar red, also known as Chinese red, immediately capturing attention. On the nose, pronounced notes of ripe pomegranate emerge, elegantly complemented by soft hints of vanilla and dark chocolate derived from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is powerful and layered: juicy tannins provide structure, while the velvety finish leaves a long, fruity aftertaste. The Gevorkian Pomegranate Wine Reserve is a versatile companion at the table. As an aperitif, it stimulates the senses with its fresh fruitiness, while at the main course it shines alongside grilled chicken, lamb chops, or a tender steak. The subtle oak tones also pair beautifully with rich dishes from Italian cuisine, such as pasta Bolognese or lasagna. It even excels at dessert, particularly in combination with almond pastries or other nut delicacies, where its silky texture elegantly enhances the flavors.

To fully experience the wine’s glory, it is recommended to serve at 16–18°C. This allows the complete richness of aromas and flavors to unfold, making this wine a true sensory delight.
