Discover Gašper Penina Brut, an elegant sparkling wine from the picturesque wine region of Goriška Brda, located in the western part of Slovenia. This region benefits from a unique combination of a sub-Mediterranean climate and cooling Alpine winds – ideal conditions for viticulture. This sparkling wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, hand-harvested from terraced vineyards situated at elevations between 80 and 200 meters. The vineyards, planted at a density of 4,000 to 5,000 vines per hectare, are between 10 and 30 years old. The marl-rich soils lend the wine a refined mineral character and contribute to its expressive personality. Gašper Penina Brut is produced using the Charmat method, with the second fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks. Thanks to fermentation and maturation at a controlled temperature of 14°C, the result is a fresh, natural style with vibrant primary aromas. The relatively low alcohol content of 11% makes this wine particularly refreshing and versatile – perfect for any occasion.

Gašper Čarman, the owner of Gasper Wines, is one of the most prominent wine experts in Slovenia. He won the title of Best Sommelier of Slovenia twice (2013 and 2015), achieved the prestigious WSET Level 4 diploma, and is currently in his second year of the renowned Master of Wine program. For him, learning is a continuous process; even after 14 years in the wine world, he remains fascinated by new discoveries. From a young age, Gašper was surrounded by wine and gastronomy. Growing up in the family business – the restaurant Danilo – gostilna & vinoteka in Reteče – he developed his passion for wine. In 2004, he took his first steps as an independent entrepreneur in wine sales. What started as a small garage business quickly grew into a successful online wine shop and a flourishing distribution network for both private and business clients.
In 2013, he launched his own wine brand: Gasper Wines. For Gašper, wine is about the experience in the glass, more than the story behind it. A first impression can lead to a long-lasting relationship with a wine or just a fleeting encounter. This idea was central to the creation of Gasper Wines. The wines are produced in collaboration with Klet Goriška Brda, one of the largest Slovenian wine cooperatives. Thanks to this partnership, the recognition of Gasper Wines continues to grow, both in Slovenia and internationally. Gasper Wines embody the character of the unique terroir of Goriška Brda and are designed with the wine lover in mind.
