Douloufakis Dafnios Liatiko 2019

An example of a typical Greek wine is the Douloufakis Dafnios Liatiko. This red wine with a slightly orange color consists of the ancient Liatiko grape that is grown on the island of Crete. The red wine is characterized by its soft tannins and a smooth finish. When drinking this wine you can taste the flavors of Greece. Cheers! Or as they say in Greece: Gia Mas!

Taste character Douloufakis Dafnios Liatiko

There are different aromas in the Douloufakis Dafnios Liatiko. You can taste aromas of cherries and plums, but also spicy hues of leather and a wood scent are recognizable. As a result, the scent of the Liatiko grape also resembles the Nebbiolo grape.

About the producer

Grandfather Dimitris Douloufakis started winery Douloufakis Dafnios on the island of Crete in 1930 where he used indigenous grape varieties to produce wines. He did this in an authentic way. His grandson Nikos and his wife are now behind the wheel and have partly modernized the production. This change has ensured that they produce wines of the highest quality.
