The story of Daniel Bouju winery began in 1805 when the Allard and Chauvin families established it in the picturesque commune of Saint-Preuil which is situated in the heart of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of Cognac producing eaux-de-vie of great finesse, marked by a lot of distinction and length and with a predominantly floral bouquet. The journey to perfection for these eaux-de-vie entails a patient aging process within oak barrels, allowing them to gradually attain their ultimate maturity. It’s noteworthy that exclusively the spirits originating from this esteemed cru are granted the revered Appellation Contrôlée titles of “Cognac Grande Champagne” or “Cognac Grande Fine Champagne”.
