Winery

Casa Vinicola Luca is a family-run vineyard that has been passionately producing exquisite wines for four generations. Their love for winemaking originates from a deep-rooted connection to Moldavian terroir and local wine traditions. The journey began with the original winemakers of the Luca family, who persevered through significant obstacles to realize their dream of owning a vineyard. Even during their deportation to a Siberian labor camp under the Soviet regime, the family persisted and preserved their skills and knowledge by working for 40 years at a state-run winery. Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the younger generations took the reins and breathed new life into the family business. In 2011, they proudly introduced the Carpe Diem wines for the first time and have since been entirely focused on the future. Today, winemaker and estate manager Ion Luca Jr oversees all aspects of the family business. With his expertise and leadership, they have successfully exported their wines to 12 countries on three continents. They are delighted to hold the title of the most award-winning family vineyard in Moldova!
