Description
Vineyards
Casa Vinicola Luca’s vineyards cover more than 10.5 hectares and host both local and international grape varieties, including Fetească Neagră, Rara Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală, Viorica, and others. The winery takes pride in its traditional and meticulous approach to winemaking. Therefore, they hand-harvest all grapes and transport them from the vineyard to the cellar in small 10 kg crates, carefully monitoring the temperature throughout the journey. Harvesting begins in late August and continues through early November, allowing ample time to select only the finest grapes for crafting exceptional wines. The winery believes that quality wine starts in the vineyard, and thus, they are committed to cultivating the most extraordinary grapes in the Codru region of Moldova. The winery’s dedication to quality extends to every bottle of wine they produce.
The winery believes that modern technology can enhance the winemaking process without compromising the traditional methods that make their wines exceptional. Therefore, they utilize advanced grape processing equipment during the vinification process. To ensure maximum elegance and aroma in their wines, they ferment in stainless steel tanks with strict temperature control. This enables the winery to closely monitor and adjust the fermentation process as needed to create the perfect balance of flavor and aroma. The winery’s commitment to quality winemaking means they are always seeking ways to improve and innovate while remaining faithful to their tradition.
