The Yerevan Brandy Company, a symbol of Armenia’s rich tradition in the production of distilled wine, has its origins in the historic Erivan Fortress, founded in 1887. It was established by the prominent first-guild merchant Nerses Tairyan, together with his cousin Vasily Tairov. The company has gained global recognition for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Armenian distilled wine, renowned for its refined taste, won prestigious awards at the 1900 Paris World Expo, where it was awarded the Grand-Prix and the honorary title of “cognac.” Throughout its long history, the Yerevan Brandy Company has always been synonymous with excellence, with shipments going not only to the Soviet Union but to the world.
In 1998, the company reached a crucial turning point when it merged with the internationally renowned Pernod Ricard Group, strengthening its position as a leader in the global spirits industry. Today, under the leadership of Pernod Ricard, the Yerevan Brandy Company continues its tradition of craftsmanship and impeccable quality, evident in every bottle of Armenian distilled wine. In addition to its presence in Yerevan, the Yerevan Brandy Company is expanding its influence to other strategic regions in Armenia, such as Armavir, Aygavan, and Tavush. The company also leads in the areas of sustainability and social responsibility.
