Description
Winery
Voskevazsky Winery is a venerable wine estate with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1932. However, the roots of this company extend over centuries, and it holds a deep connection to its indigenous identity. The distinctive feature of “Voskevaz” lies in the unique concept of preserving authentic Armenian grape culture. When producing wine, the company strongly emphasizes the use of local Armenian grape varieties, including Kakheti, Muscat Vardabuyr, Haghtanak, Kangun, Arena, and last but not least, one of the oldest and most venerable grape varieties: Voskehat, also known as Harjit. These varieties contribute to the unique flavor profiles of Voskevazsky wines, with each grape bringing its own character and history. A noteworthy aspect of Voskevazsky Winery’s vineyards is the age of some individual vines, which have reached the respectable age of at least 70 years. These old vines not only add depth to the wines but also contribute to the heritage value of the vineyards, serving as living witnesses to the long and passionate history of winemaking in this region.
