Winery
Winiveria is a renowned winery with deep roots in the rich history of Georgian winemaking tradition. It started in 2005, when the first Marani (wine cellar) was established in the picturesque village of Vardisubani, located in Kakheti, Georgia’s famous wine region. The construction of the cellar was completed in 2006, after which the winery organized its first Rtveli (grape harvest), laying the foundation for the production of authentic Georgian wines. Winiveria specializes in the use of Kvevri, the traditional Georgian method of winemaking in large clay vessels, while combining this with modern European winemaking techniques to produce a diverse range of wines.
In 2008, the construction of Chateau Mere began, one of the first châteaux in Georgia, which opened its doors in 2011. Since then, the château has become a popular destination for wine enthusiasts, known for its warm hospitality and unique wine-tasting experience. In 2014, Winiveria expanded its production capacity by adding a modern winery next to Chateau Mere, increasing its wine range to 15 exceptional varieties that combine both traditional Georgian and classic European production methods.
